To summarise...
I upgraded my broadband connection from a Virgin Media USB Cable modem
to an Ethernet SuperHub Router.
I don't do PC/fandezhi transfers very often, but they ceased to work
with error "TCP/IP CONNECT RC=48".
The info you need...
IP Address (ipconfig)
Default Gateway (ipconfig)
External IP (
www.ipchicken.com)
FanDeZhi IP (ping fandezhi.efglobe.com)
1) Update WSA if needed to the FanDeZhi IP address (it changed for me)
2) Add a "Port Forward" to the SuperHub
a) Internet Explorer...type the Default Gateway into the address
like 123.234.345.456
You should get the Virgin Media SuperHub screen
b) Name and Password are pasted on the router
c) Click Advanced Settings (bottom right)
d) Click Security...Port Forwarding (page down a bit)
e) Service : ignore this
Name : fandezhi (or anything else)
Start Port: 15993
End Port : 15993
Protocol : TCP
IP Address: The last number of the ipconfig IP Address
f) Click Add Rule...you are now done here
3) Start WSA
Logon to FanDeZhi
WSCON, should connect you
=3.7.2
The IP address you need is the External IP with :15993 added
4) If it stops working for no obvious reason, recheck all of the IP
addresses...they do change
