You're probably out of luck. TCPIP "ports" are "forwarded" from the gateway router to your laptop. It is unlikely that anyone at a motel would do this, even if someone there knows how to do this. It is unlikely the motel will give you access to their router.
I stayed at a motel last year and used my laptop. I don't use WSA, so that was not an issue. Users at that motel were connected to the internet through the local cable TV ISP; I suspect the same arrangement will be used at the motel you're using; you'll be using the motel's network, not the motel chain's network. For internal purposes, I suspect the motel was connected to it's chain motel's network through a VPN connection established through the same internet gateway to the same local cable TV ISP I saw when I was there. But I don't know this for a fact and I didn't inquire as I did not think it was any of my business. Their internet seemed quite speedy, though I did not conduct a "speed" test.
